TECHNICAL COMPONENTS AND BUILD
The AOP SIGMA is constructed precisely using top-quality components from globally recognized brands. The machine is powered by SIEMENS S7 PLC, ensuring reliable control and automation. SEW standard motors and gears provide robust mechanical performance, while the pneumatic systems are supplied by FESTO and SMC, which are known for their durability and efficiency. The electrical cabinet, designed by RITTAL, houses the DANFOSS frequency inverter, which controls the machine’s operations, including the wrapping speed and film unwinding velocity. The machine also features a SIEMENS TP display for easy interaction and monitoring by the operator.
STANDARD EQUIPMENT
The AOP SIGMA is equipped with a ring wrapper and a stable construction featuring four columns, ensuring the machine’s durability and operational stability. The system includes a pre-programmed CPU and display for straightforward operation, adjustable film overlap, and settings for top and bottom wraps. It offers both normal and cross-spiral wrapping programs and can be fitted with an optional top sheet dispenser for thermal protection. The automatic pallet height sensing with a photocell ensures precision in wrapping height, while the quick-load system simplifies film replacement, allowing changes within 30 seconds.
ADVANCED FEATURES
One of the standout features of the AOP SIGMA is its Automatic Power Pre-stretch System – POWER 2000, which enhances the film pre-stretching process, ensuring consistent wrapping quality across various pallet shapes and sizes. This system enables significant film savings by maintaining even tension, contributing to overall packaging cost reductions. Additionally, the control tableau with a multifunctional touchscreen display provides an intuitive interface for machine operation, error diagnostics, and troubleshooting assistance, ensuring minimal downtime.
There is also the option to add an extra foil carriage, allowing the Sigma to accommodate two foil carriers. This upgrade increases capacity to up to 130 pallets per hour and reduces the frequency of foil changes.
TOP PLATE STABILIZING ARM
For added stability, particularly with unstable loads, the machine includes an electrically driven, scissors-type stabilizing arm. This arm, adjustable through a frequency inverter, applies regulated pressure to secure the load during wrapping. Integrated with a film-blowing system, it ensures the top film remains securely in place.
